The Group menu stands on the left side of the Group Window. It includes the following options:
- Wish List
The "Members feature
Click on this option to see a list of the Hub members currently participating in this group
You can, if you wish, send a private message to the person of your choice, by clicking on the "envelope" icon to the right of the person's name.
The "Announcements" feature
Announcements are posted by the Group Manager(s). They are general information related to the group, announcement or reminder of an upcoming event, request for participation in priority tasks to be achieved to build up the Group functionalities and offerings.
The "Calendar" feature
Use this feature to add new events on the Calendar shared by the Group
To do so, click on the "+New Event" button in the top right corner of the window. Specify the characteristics of the Event - title, description, time frame (start/end), contact for more information.. etc. Do not forget to specify the time zone corresponding to the place which will be hosting the event.
NOTE: Use this possibility sparingly: only indicate here events which are directly linked to the purpose of the Group, and which will be of interest for a large number/majority of group members, lest the Calendar becomes crowded with events and ultimately unreadable!
Let's keep in mind the saying: "too much information kills information!".
The "Forum" feature
The "Forum" area is the place hosting the current on-going discussions between the members of the Group. As such, this is the place where 50% of the Group collaborative work will take place.
Go to the following help page dealing with forums to learn how to use the forum in detail.
The "Resources" feature
Resources - like "Files", below - are reference documents which are uploaded and made available for download by all Group members. What is the difference between "Files" and "Resources"?
- Files are working documents, without specific copyright mention (possibly temporary working documents). They are published immediately in the group without validation of the Group Manager, and are immediately available to all group members. On the other hand, they can also be deleted by any member of the group at any time
- Resources/contributions, on the other hand, are reference documents, whose authors are clearly identified and for which copyrights are clearly established. They must be validated by the Group Manager(s) before publication. And they can only be deleted by their "owner" or the Group Manager(s).

The "Wiki" feature
The "Wiki" area is place the where Group members will engage in writing together articles and building a knowledge base in the field of interest of the Group - on the model of what is done by Wikipedia, and using the same syntax as Wikipedia articles. Again, this will be the place where a large part of the activity of the Group will take place.

The "Wish List" feature
As a Group member, you have the right to express wishes about the desirable evolution of Group - new features to implement in the future, the necessity to modify or reorganise the material content available to make it more accessible, things that are not working as they should...

The "Files" feature
As we have seen above, "Files" are reference or working documents (possibly temporary working documents), without specific copyright mention, which are uploaded and made available for download by all Group members.
Unlike "Resources", they are published immediately in the group without validation of the Group Manager, and are immediately available to all group members. On the other hand, they can also be deleted by any member of the group at any time.
